Industry Served
Food & Beverage(water)
Food and Beverage and the many industries it comprises are perhaps the most intensive users of our filtration and water purification products. In addition Food and Beverage have very strict GMP and Quality requirements which impact products used.
We have identified several subindustries as follows:
– Beer with Well Water
– Brewing with City Water
– Soft Drink Manufacturing
– Whiskey and Spirits
– Bottled Water
– Yogurt and Dairy
Because of the many applications present, we have another Food and Beverage Industry Served specific category for Food and Beverage Filters.
Pharmaceuticals, Biologics & Laboratory
Pharmaceuticals, Biologics & Laboratory are intensive users of our filtration and water purification products. In addition Pharmaceuticals, Biologics & Laboratory applications have very strict GMP and Quality requirements which dominate products are used.
Pharmaceutical and Biotech water systems revolve largely around first producing United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Purified water.
Laboratory water stsndards are a bit more scattered with NCCLS and ASTM and even Semiconductor standards dictating Types of Water manufactured.
The basics are the same:
Remove the TDS-Total Dissolved Solids
Remove the organics as measured by TOC – Total Organic Carbon
Recirculate as necessary to maintain zero bacteria and high Resistivity in MegOhm/cm2.
Electronics
Electronics, Electroplating and Printed Circuit use many of our water products as well as filtration products.
The water prducts run from simple cartridge filters all the way up to very exotic super high purity chip systems.
The basics are the same:
Remove the TDS-Total Dissolved Solids
Remove the organics as measured by TOC – Total Organic Carbon
Recirculate as necessary to maintain zero bacteria and high Resistivity in MegOhm/cm2.
For electroplating simple Ion Exchange will be sufficient for make-up water to the individual baths.
Printed Circuit Board Aqueous Cleaners recycling systems reclaim the rinses for reuse indefinitely.
Chemical Manufacturing
Chemical Manufacturing Filters and Water Purification.
In Chemical Manufacturing cartridge Filters are located throughout Chemical Plants. Read more.
In Chemical Manufacturing Water Purification:
The source water dictates the treatment required for water supplied for Steam makeup.
Depending on the pressure of the Boiler involved, we may add a Reverse Osmosis Unit.

Metalworking
Metalworking Industries frequently require Deionized water for makeup to coolant baths.
Our more intensive work in Metalworking is for particle removal from coolants to extend their life. Extending the life of coolants allow the coolant to maintain its functions of tool lubrication, cooling tools and workpieces and reducing friction.
A driving consideration for coolant filtration system design is logistics – making sure the filters employed and handle the amount of dirt made by the system. Our rule is that you have to remove solids as fast as you are making them to be successful – very simple but overlooked.
Paper Manufacturing
The source water dictates the treatment required for water supplied for Steam make-up.
We start with pretreament. Depending on the source water Pretreatment can be few steps.
Power Generation
Power Generation plants and facilities require enhanced and super reliable utilities.
Most of our efforts then are in producing water for the steam required by the boilers in the Power Generation plant.
Depending on the pressure of the boiler water systems can be anything from simple softeners up though very exotic RO-EDI systems with highly redundant features.
Further on a Power Generation facility requires very good compressed air and perhaps even some filtered gases. Compressed Air
Municipal
Municipal Water Systems can be just about any unit process required in water purification.
We have done considerable work proving Iron Removal System for Municipalities.
In addition we have done working providing protection filters for Municipalities whose source waters are in areas which can be considered as Surface Water or Groundwater Under the Influence of Surface Water.
